A practice to help you access deep rest - without the guilt
15 minute Yoga Nidra recording to help you soften

If you’re a regular Slower Space reader, you’ll know learning to rest, and actually surrendering to that without guilt, has been a pretty big focus for me in recent years.
The name “Slower Space” was inspired by wanting to cultivate a slower way of being. Clawing back my energy from hustle culture and the conditioning that weighed on me for years.
I’m very much still on the path of going slower. There’s a hustle culture hangover that lingers, old habits that sometimes show up unexpectedly. Most days, even now, it’s a conscious choice to resist the urge to rush, and choosing habits that support me in that.
A practice I’ve found to be truly transformational when it comes to accessing that feeling of deep rest and presence is Yoga Nidra. It’s coming up to a year since finishing my teacher training, and ever since it’s been an anchor and means of resting I’ve come back to time and time again.
With that, I wanted to offer a 15 minute recording that can hopefully become abit of a rest refuge for you too.
If you’re new to Yoga Nidra, it’s a meditation technique, usually practiced lying down, that’s been used for thousands of years. There’s no right or wrong way of experiencing it, you may even fall asleep if that’s what you need during that time. It’s an amazing way to offer your mind and body stillness, with one of the main reported benefits being the state of relaxation and peace it brings - which I can vouch for myself!
