2 years ago, when I finally made the decision to set up a “quick call” with my manager to hand my notice in, I really wasn’t sure how self employed life was going to look…
Here’s a few things I did know for sure:
That I felt exhausted after years of balancing employed work and my creative projects
My heart just wasn’t in my employed role anymore which led to burnout
I was procrastinating and felt uninspired. I had so much to do, but no motivation to do it
My personal relationships were suffering because I was putting work before everything else
I realised, alongside going self employed, I really needed to re-evaluate what I wanted, and what my purpose was for doing those things. Here’s how it’s shaped up since, and how I actually make a living, whilst living at a slower pace!
