Mays Seasonal Scroll
Your curated list of seasonal links, recipes, podcasts & more for the month of May
Welcome to the first seasonal scroll!
Every single month I’m going to be rounding up the best articles, podcasts, recipes, seasonal recommendations and a few clothing/ interior bits I’m loving for good measure!
Basically, a big ol’ post with how to embrace the month, and a selection of things aligned with it too.
The month of May…
Anyone else absolutely LOVE this time of year? It’s one of my favourites. We’re fully into spring, the garden is getting greener by the day, the BBQ’s made it out of the shed and strawberries are back in season and at their most delicious.
Even just feeling the warmth of the sun on bare skin - a joy after the long winter!
Beltane - 1st of May
Aware I’m sending this a little later than the 1st, but, yesterday marked Beltane!
The Celtic tradition celebrates the height of spring and transition into summer with themes of abundance and fertility. Noticing these moments as markers in time and even just taking a moment to celebrate can help us connect with the seasonal cycles and act as a reminder that we’re part of that same cycle too!
Ways you can celebrate and mark Belate…
Plant a seed with intention. Think about what you want to cultivate for yourself over the coming weeks and months, then plant a seed with that intention in mind.
Journal on the things you want to channel your energy towards, what do you want to manifest or bring into life?
Simply get outside, look up and be with what’s there (my favourite way to be in touch with the seasons, especially this time of year).
Just a reminder, as with all seasonal celebrations throughout the year, anything done with intention and meaning has the ability to honour an occasion, it doesn’t need to be fancy or elaborate!
Ways to embrace this month

Style is something I really want to start rediscovering postpartum. I’d say even pre pregnancy I felt uninspired, so there’s a lot of re-learning to do. I’ve started by making Pinterest boards and ordered a few things to try. Here’s what’s feeling inspiring and perfect for May…
— I’m waiting on this to arrive but hope it’s going to be my go to dress for warmer days
— Dungarees - always, nothing’s changed here!
— Another dress I’ve ordered and praying I like
— A little upgrade from the Birkenstock Bostons I made earlier in the month, I thought I loved the Bostons but these are even better!
Reading

The rest of this post includes May’s listening & watching, recipes, what’s happening in the garden and some more interior/ random picks for the month!
