This was gorgeous to read. I’m 32 next month, and it’s been a bit of a “lost girl summer” for me so far. I’m finding that I’m outgrowing things, I’ve been in that space where it’s the end of something that’s been your identity for so long for a while now. I sprained my ankle on Thursday, and it’s obviously forced me to rest. Maybe it was a sign?
Hey Beth, ouch! I hope your ankle is on the mend... Although I love the reframe, maybe it is a sign. I dislocated my shoulder twice this year and that definitely felt like a signal for something both times x
Thank you for sharing your honesty in a time where there is still such a push to hustle, reach that next goal, be successful, win the prize. I turned 61 this year and wish that I could go back and tell my 31 year old self to slow down and take it all in because it’s not about the big moments that matter, it’s the small, quiet, everyday moments that create the most beautiful memories. 🩷
Thanks so much for your comment Jill, so beautiful to read and a perfect reminder. I do often think of myself in a few years time and when I consider what will have mattered most, it’s exactly as you put it!
This hit home for me. I have faced so much uncertainty in the last couple months of my life and it is absolutely daunting for someone who loves to stay in control of the outcomes. I really have neglected everything that's abundant in my life right now while thinking of a future that's yet to come. Your words are exactly what I needed to read today Jodie. Thank you!
