Ahhhhhh, we made it! Invitation to take a sigh out here, I just did writing that and thinking about the fact the lighter days are on the way.
Spring equinox is coming up (20th of March). After years of feeling bogged down by winter and rushing through, I’ve grown to appreciate it and lean into the slowness. I’m definitely ready for the warmer weather and brighter longer days. I’m feeling that renewed sense of hope and energy as we head towards nature’s new year, anyone else?
Rest & Revival ~ Spring Equinox Workshop
On that note, before I get into my nourishing moments and favourites, I'm hosting a 90 minute Rest & Revival workshop on the 19th of March to celebrate and mark the occasion. The session includes mindful embodied movement suitable for all levels, Pranayama (breathwork) practices, a guided journaling session and a Yoga Nidra practice to finish.
I’d love to see you there! Onto some favourites and nourishing moments from the past few weeks…
Completing my Yoga Nidra training! I feel so so passionate about this practice and the access to rest it provides. It’s also been a really fulfilling experience to continue my learning and be part of that environment again, so much so I’m already looking at some additional courses and thinking about exploring Yoga for Pregnancy and offering that in the future… We shall see!
This tea with a chunk of dark chocolate in the evenings - bliss.
Watching One Day… Anyone else jumped on the bandwagon? I smiled, sobbed, and texted all my friends to see what they thought. Definitely worth a watch if you haven’t already.
I’ve been looking for the perfect meditation cushion for a while and the stars aligned last week when a lovely follower on my Instagram reached out to share her beautiful Yoga products. This is the meditation cushion I went for, it’s been a joy to practice with it.
To my husbands despair at hearing the same line sang over and over again this week, I cannot stop singing (and dancing, poorly) Beyonce’s new song. Anyone else enjoying it!?

Going for a walk with a neighbour. I’m trying to be less of a “let’s do that” and not following up kind of person and really acting on my word. It was lovely to get out and break up my working day.
Seeing the first daffodils in my garden bloom this week! I grew up in Wales and celebrated St David’s Day as a child, so this time of year always reminds me of that - Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus if you’re reading this on the 1st of March.
Earlier this week we booked a little holiday to Ibiza! We’re going at the beginning of April for 4 days and I’m really looking forward to exploring, relaxing and taking a little break.
This post from Alex Elle on love. I resonated with so much here and it was just a really heart warming read.
One last thing…
Usually I’d end this post with a not so nourishing thing, there’s been a few this week in all honesty, but I just don’t fancy writing them down/ reflecting on them - and I think that’s worth honouring!
I did however stumble across this meme yesterday and had to share it. There’s no source unfortunately to credit them, but this is the energy I’m bringing into spring. More dancing, singing and being less conscious about it…
Let me know what’s felt nourishing for you/ any things you’ve loved recently in the comments!
Until next time,
Jodie x
If you found this post useful or enjoyed it I would be so grateful if you shared it or restacked it. It helps more people find the Slower Space community… Thank you x
Ahhh congrats on completing your Yoga Nidra training… it’s such medicine! I’ve been truly enjoying seeing the little pops of colour from daffodils even amongst the very rainy days. Hope you have a nourishing weekend xx
My nourishing moment was a bit short lived but I managed to dry some laundry on the line the other day. As I turned my face up to the sun I could almost feel a bit of warmth and there was a gorgeous breeze. Today it feels as though we've gone back to January but it was a real moment of spring promise - nearly there.
