Birth is completely crazy and it's luck of the draw what can happen, so while it's good to have a plan in case you can use it, whatever will be will be. Hypnobirthing helped me in the run up to stay calm (even if I didn't use it for the actual labour 😅)

The funny thing about birth is that you can have this plan of what you think is best and then it all goes out of the window. I had a home both planned with a birthing pool and ended up with an emergency c section 🤷‍♀️ the complete opposite to what I wanted. And all of the stuff I’d read made it feel like having a c section was the worst thing in the world and that you had somehow done something wrong if you had one. All you can do is follow what feels intuitively right for you and take other peoples opinions with a pinch of salt because everyone’s experience is so vastly different and everyone’s tolerance for uncertainty varies greatly too.
