I love walking in the countryside on cold and frosty days, particularly in the middle of the afternoon just before sunset...the beautiful soft winter light fills my heart ❤️

"Without a doubt, for me, it’s the season that requires the most effort to find joy in. It’s not a loud, shouty joy that’s quick to access, but quiet, and often harder to reach."

Reading this did something to me. I often say that I thrive in discomfort and that I almost seek being uncomfortable because it makes me feel the most alive. However, when winter comes around, I mourn summer and how easy it is to find joy in the day. Your words make me think that I should embrace the discomfort that comes with winter and transform it for me. Such a cool revelation, thank you Jodie!

❤️ it’s definitely a practice for me and doesn’t come easy, but even in how uncomfortable it can be, there’s some comfort to be found for sure!

I love this roundup! I, too, have to work really hard to romanticize winter. Cozying up in bed with an electric blanket with cashmere socks on sounds absolutely divine!

Love this! For me, I'd add seeing the warm glow from people's homes and twinkle lights trimming windows. And slower, cozy spotify playlists that match the mood.

What a gorgeous list! 👍🧡 I'm finding myself being particularly drawn to the "stew and dumplings with crusty bread rolls" Yum! 😋 I must be really hungry right now 😉🤣

I’ve realised this year that by the time I arrive at winter’s door, I am on my knees with exhaustion, so my challenge next year will be to rebalance those energy levels.
