So beautifully written Jodie. I can really relate to the 'busyness' and (perceived) need to be constantly doing. I'm really grateful to have found the Wheel of the Year and to be following the seasons as it really helps me slow down and appreciate time and nature much more deeply. Will be borrowing some of your ritual ideas and journalling prompts! I'm lucky enough to live in North Wales so I'm sure your walk will be lovely - enjoy, sounds like a gorgeous morning!

missed your session - love your journal promps and ideas for winter solstice. ive never thought of trying yoga nidra for a winter celetrtion. i tend to stay in the YIn to Rest and Restore. i must admit ive only attented a handfull of Nidra classes. my family went down to the river by our house and burned homemade herbal mix. ( cederwood pine oange peal rosemarry frankinsense ) took a pilaties class.

Hi Jodie! What a beautiful post! Although here where I live (the tropic) winter solstice is felt very subtly..the sunset is just 30 min earlier, and the mood here is freaking feisty, I like to take advantage of the energy of Mercury retrograde to pause and assess how my year was...I like to do https://yearcompass.com/ and now that you asked what I’m willing to release to make space for the new...I’m planning to burn a lot of diaries. I will extract the pages that have potential poems or drafts and then burn the rest...I will leave only the last 2 years of my journals.
